About Sketch for Change
Sketch for Change was a grassroots fundraiser for Barack Obama's 2008 Presidential Campaign.
My friend Harley Cross was at Baby Tatooville and spontaneously asked several amazing artists to contribute a sketch to benefit Barack Obama. Contributing Artists included Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Shag, Amanda Visell, Luke Cheuh, Jeff Soto, and many more. We then put together a quick web site and invited people to submit Obama inspired art from around the world. Within ten days, we had tons of submissions. We organized a group art show in Vegas to help get out the vote, and auctioned off the art, helping raise over $16,000 for the campaign in just a few days.
