Digitizing Fish Eye Guy

Today I was at FotoKem and ended up digitizing my Beta Master Tape of Fish Eye Guy and Why the Trees Died. This was my very first film, and is riddled with all sorts of naive mistakes. The film was shot on 16mm and finished on video back in 1997, before all these digital tools we have today. It has been years since I have spent time with the footage. Man, it's painful to see all the mistakes I made. But it also brought back a lot of good memories.

It will be tempting to try and fix some of the footage/audio now that it's digitized. But that is a whole other can of worms I don't really have time to open.

Eventually, I'll be able to get the footage on DVD and may put it online at some point, though the film wasn't really meant for a general audience.

Anyway, it was cool to get the footage off the Beta tape, which was slowly deteriorating. FotoKem rocks.
